The goodbye of Passion for Knowledge - Quantum 13
Pedro Miguel Etxenike was commissioned of the closing ceremony of the festival Passion for Knowledge - Quantum 13. "While there is this desire to move forward and learn, we will keep bringing science" noted Etxenike. This closing ceremony did not put the end point to Passion for Knowledge - Quantum 13. It remains to enjoy the play "The interview", that can be seen both in Donostia and Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Pamplona.

The secret of life in light of X-rays

Amand Lucas, Professor of Physics at the University of Namur (Belgium) wanted to explain to the public how involved X rays to Crick and Watson do their great discovery: the double helix of DNA or "the secret of life". He remembered that "the physicist Niels Bohr wrote in his article Light and life, that life can not be explained". However, 20 years after the publication of that article, in 1953, Watson and Crick managed the feat. To better explain to the public the optical diffraction, Lucas presented some experiments with the help of Professor Dudley Herschbach.

The potential of genetic manipulation

Ginés Morata talked about the ability that humans have developed to manipulate nature and living beings, through a series of examples.
