Nobel Pitch

Taking advantage of the presence of our prestigious guests, we will celebrate a very special workshop called the Nobel Pitch. This special session is based on what is known as the "elevator pitch", that is, presenting a short, simple, clear and interesting summary of an idea or a project.

How would you tell a Nobel prize about your work in the time that it takes to ride with him in an elevator?

Aimed at postdoctoral or young fellow researchers from different areas (biology, chemistry and physics), during the Nobel Pitch, they will have the opportunity to meet and interact with some of the most prominent international scientists in their fields, the Nobel Laureates:

Aaron CIECHANOVER, biology	Dudley HERSCHBACH, chemical-physics
Claude COHEN-TANNOUDJI, physics	Jean-Marie LEHN, chemistry

12-15 young researchers will be selected to present their "elevator pitch" and explain their main research project or idea in less than 5 minutes, but the session will be opened to up 70 participants that can join into a collective discussion about breakthrough ideas and general topics of the advancement of science with the Committee after the presentations.

This is an extraordinary occasion for young researchers to get a feedback from world-leading scientists. Don't miss it!

The Nobel Pitch is scheduled on Tuesday 1st in the morning (aroun 11:00h) at nanoGUNE.

Researchers willing to participate must register here by filling this form and sending a brief summary of their main research work, before the 8th of September.

Organized by the DIPC as part of the program of Passion for Knowledge - Quantum 13, the Nobel Pitch is coordinated by Ikerbasque, the Basque Foundation for Science, who will make the selection among all the registered researchers in collaboration with the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
